A young Chinese engineer has given (I think maybe temporarily) on real-life romance and has married his robot. While the match isn't legally binding, he seems fairly happy with it. She can talk (a little), and he plans to give her some upgrades, like movement, and the ability to do housework. He's not apparently the first, though: A Canadian man built himself a robot wife in 2008.
