Via the Chronicle of Higher Education: a district judge has tossed Ben Ito's lawsuit against Stanford University for “[s]cheming to justify the wave theory of light, using wave theory to represent matter.” The judge reached his decision on procedural grounds, thus avoiding the merits of the case (whether the Michelson/Morley experiments were right about the nature of light, for example).
