Magician David Copperfield Asks For Delay In Civil Case

Magician David Copperfield has asked for a six month stay of proceedings in the lawsuit filed against him by a woman who alleges that two years ago he raped her. After two years, criminal charges still have not been filed in the case, and Mr. Copperfield is concerned that any admissions he might make could be held against him in a criminal proceeding. The woman, a model and former beauty pageant contestant, is claiming IIED, misrepresentation (I think it's not "false misrepresentation" as the Seattle Times has it--I don't know what that is) and false imprisonment.
