Dale Neumann, the Wisconsin father on trial for reckless homicide in the death of his daughter Madeline, was found guilty on August 1. Mr. Neumann tried prayer rather than conventional medicine in order to cure his eleven year old daughter of diabetes, but she died in March of 2008. Mr. Neumann testified in his own defense, saying that he thought his daughter had the flu or a fever.
Mr. Neumann's wife Leilani was convicted on similar charges earlier this year. The judge in the case, Vincent Howard, will sentence the couple on October 6. They could receive 25 years in prison for Madeline's death.
