Sean A. Jennings will spend twelve years in prison for the attempted murder of his now ex-wife last year. Mr. Jennings apparently lured his wife into a garage where, he said, he was setting up a "haunted house" and he needed her assistance. But he said he also needed her to enter the area blindfolded, and he put her in handcuffs and popped a noose around her neck. She escaped, just barely, and eventually called police, although he tried to convince her to hide the marks around her neck. The couple hadn't even been married two years. She told law enforcement Mr. Jennings said hanging her was cheaper than getting a divorce. Read more here.
